Chromecast is a media streaming device that can be easily plugged into the HDMI port of your TV and allows casting the videos and other content from your iPad, iPhone, Android, and other devices. If you want to watch a particular video repeatedly on your Chromecast, you need to loop the video. Chromecast video loop options are given below.

Part 1. Loop YouTube Videos on Chromecast

Since Google owns both the YouTube as well as the Chromecast, the compatibility between the two is the best, but unfortunately, there is no built-in option if you want the Chrome repeat YouTube. So if you want to repeatedly play YouTube videos on your Chromecast there is a workaround and the steps for the same are enlisted below.

Step 1: First of all create a YouTube playlist of the songs that you want to loop. Even if it is a single song you need to create a playlist for this method to work.

Step 2: Next when the playlist is created, check its URL at the address bar and copy the mix of digits that is present after the “list=” in the URL. Make sure to copy the right set of digits.

Step 3: Next you need to modify the playlist URL to make it loop and for this, you need to add: &autoplay=1&controls=0&loop=1 at the end of the playlist URL. So if the original URL is: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PL63F0C78739B09958, the new modified URL will be: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PL63F0C78739B09958&autoplay=1&controls=0&loop=1.

Step 4: Next, you need to use DashCast which is a web application that allows you to cast the video with custom options. So for this to work, open the Chrome browser and run the link: https://stestagg.github.io/dashcast/. Here paste the modified URL that you have created for the YouTube playlist.

Step 5: Turn on the Force Display option to make it Yes. Next click on the Go button and you will be asked to choose the Chromecast device to cast your videos. Finally, the YouTube playlist will now play repeatedly.

Part 2. Use an Online Tool to loop Videos

Another simple way of looping your local videos is by using \Online UniConverter (Originally Media.io) which is a browser-based tool that supports a wide range of functions including video looping. You can loop your local or downloaded videos using this online tool and then choose the play the processed videos over the Chromecast. Using Online UniConverter, you can select to loop the videos up to 8times and can also choose the target format. To get rid of the unwanted video parts, the trimming function is also supported by the tool.

Step 2: Once the video is added, you can trim it by moving the slider or by selecting the video start and end time. Next, select the number of times you want to loop the videos.

Step 3: At the bottom-left corner, choose the format in which you want to save the video from the drop-down menu. Finally hit on the LOOP button that will process your video and will loop it. The video once processed can be saved to the computer or the Dropbox account as needed. Once you have saved the video to your computer, you can cast it using Chromecast.

Summary

Thus you can either use the YouTube playlist method to loop the YouTube video using Chromecast or can first loop the video using Online UniConverter and then cast it.
